Usage tips for first-time users, and coil epilator users.

First and foremost, welcome to the Epilady
family! We have users that are still using their original
Epilady machines that came out 25 years ago! You too will become
a loyal user and your machine will be as dedicated to you as you
are to it. And we promise that if you keep up with the program
and be loyal to your Epilady, you will truly never have to, nor
                want to, shave again!

What we recommend for first time users:

                1) Read the instruction manual. It will give you important
information about using and maintaining the machine.

                2) Take a warm shower or bath prior to epilating. What this does
is open your pores and hair shafts and will help reduce
discomfort and make epilation more efficient.

                3) After epilating, do not apply any creams or lotions for at
least 30-60 minutes. This is because your hair shafts are open
and when creams are applied, it clogs up these shafts. This may
                lead to ingrown hairs.

Each machine on the market has tweezers that close at different
points as the head spins. What we recommend you do is, while the
machine is in the "off" position, play around with the head and
see at exactly what point the tweezers close. Take that point
and put it on your leg. The Epilady epilators should be held at
a 75-80 degree angle facing the user. When held at the correct
angle, you will feel the machine working immediately.

Some users complain about little red bumps after epilating.
Believe it or not this is a good thing! This means the hair was
actually pulled from the root as opposed to being cut, as when
shaving. These bumps will not last long. Epilating at night will
assure you that these bumps will be gone by the morning.

We're not going to lie; you will experience a little discomfort,
especially if you have never waxed or epilated before. But it
will be for the first 2-3 times you use it; think of it like a
program. Once you pull out the machine the third time you will
notice a drastic difference in the discomfort level. Just
remember, the results will last for 3-4 weeks!
